Employee of the Month
Brian Zhang, IT Generalist
Every month Enquire recognizes an employee for their outstanding contribution to the organization. The Employee of the Month program identifies an individual who achieves excellence in their field and goes above and beyond as an employee. This employee is selected by their peers and management via a survey that is sent out throughout the company.
Please help us congratulate Enquire’s November Employee of the Month, Brian Zhang, IT Generalist.
Q: Please give a brief background (where you’re from, what your hobbies are, etc.)
Brian: I am originally from Beijing, China, but have been living in the United States for over 10 years now. My first stop in the U.S. was Tucson, Arizona, I spent almost 6 years there. For hobbies, Dota use to be my everyday game before I started my job here at Enquire, but now I only play it on weekends. I also really enjoy cooking when I have free time. I can spend an entire Saturday afternoon preparing for my dinner.
Q: Before Enquire, what did you do for a living/where did you work?
Brian: Before Enquire, I worked for the Colorado Democratic Party. It was fun to deal with a million-level database. I also worked for Sports Authority and EOG Resources as a contractor.
Q: How long have you been working with Enquire?
Brian: I have been with Enquire almost four months, I started on July, 27, 2017.
Q: Can you describe your role at Enquire?
Brian: My role is an IT Generalist, but I do a little bit of everything! I help Nick Hayes, COO, and Julie Harvey, Director of Client Implementation, with new client onboarding/call center platform switching. I also help Dylan Watts, Director of People and Culture, with the onboarding process of new employees by setting up accounts and computer stations. I help Brandon Ensign, Associate Vice President of Operations, with operational eLEADS/inContact problems, and I assist the call center with any eLeads issues.
Q: How has Enquire helped you in your career development?
Brian: I would say that Enquire is the first official step in my career. It is a great starting point. Enquire is a relatively new company and is growing quickly, which is exciting!
Q: What has been your favorite project at Enquire so far?
Brian: My favorite project at Enquire thus far has been the Senior Housing Company onboarding. Nick walked me through every detail of the onboarding process, which gave me a deeper understanding of the process as a whole.
Q: What is your favorite part about working for Enquire?
Brian: The best part of working for Enquire is the work environment and the feeling that Enquire is moving forward at full speed.
Q: If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Brian: Astronaut, it's my childhood dream job. Imagine seeing the earth from above and everything else becomes so small.
Q: If you could have one superpower, which would you choose?
Brian: Healing. Just think about a world with no more diseases or pain.
Q: Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
Brian: I used to be on a professional swim team! When I was 5-12 years old, I swam about 10K meters every day. I used to be #3 in butterfly and #5 in freestyle in Beijing for my age group.
